Strategic Plan of DMI

1: Effective Implementation of Curricular activities using various parameters of CBCS.

Plan of Action –

o A student will be able to perform his/her task after his education only when his knowledgebase is sound and he/she has been given adequate exposure to real life situation. The institute has r roadmap to develop students by imparting knowledge with the blend of traditional & modern teaching pedagogy.

o Efforts will be made to provide interaction with industry resource persons who will enrich them with practical knowledge .Using wide variety of teaching learning methods like Case studies, field visits, workshops, group discussion, Role Play, Developing live projects like Apps, Web applications, Internet of Things (IOT) simulations will be the focus of efforts.

2: Faculty Development & Research

Plan of Action –

The institute fully understands that the faculty members must be able to regular update their knowledge base so that the student can benefit hence following steps are taken

o Organizing & participating Faculty Development programs

o Participation in seminars & Conferences ,Research Paper Publications, Field visits, Interaction with resource persons Idea exchange programs, Brain Storming Sessions are the key initiatives.

3. To develop strong Industry –Institute Interaction & their association for enriching the teaching-learning process.Plan of Action –

In order to provide industry exposure and better career opportunities for students, the institute plans to collaborate with industries and research organizations. It is found that there is gap between industry needs and academic curriculum hence various steps can be taken to bridge this gap.

o The institute is a member of Industry body Confederation of Indian Industries (CII), Computer Society of India (CSI), Maharashtra Chamber of Commerce Industry & Agriculture (MACCIA) also there is good rapport with local industry associations like Nashik Industries Manufactures associations (NIMA).

o The institute has memorandum of understanding (MOU) with Quick Heal Foundation, Bombay Stock Exchange. With the help of these associations the student get opportunities for field visits to manufacturing plants , able to work on live projects ,know about opportunities and challenges in the industry and ways to solve it.

o Each department collaborates with industries in the perspective areas for Internship, Guest lecture, Consultancy, Workshops, Seminars, Industrial Visits etc.

4. To Introduce Career Oriented & Skill based add on courses

Plan of Action -

o The needs of Industry are rapidly changing and it is found that traditional university syllabus cannot cope with this fast pace hence new courses which will augment /bridge the gap must be introduce periodically also feedback mechanism needs to be developed to understand the industry and developmental needs .

o More focus needs to be given on developing students into job creators (entrepreneurs) instead of job seekers.

5. Efficient use of renewal energy sources like Solar Power, Green Initiative and Rain water Harvesting, & Social Responsibility

Plan of Action –

o The cost of conventional energy like electricity, fuels is rapidly increasing along with environmental pollution that is caused and institutes are finding it difficult to cope up with this situation ,the solution lies in using non-conventional renewable energy sources like Solar Power, Bio gas , Wind Power ,etc. to the maximum possible extent. The institute has installed 8 kg Watt solar power generating unit and proposes to increase its capacity in future so that maximum electricity requirement will be generated through it.

o In a situation where there is ample rain fall during monsoon and scarcity of water in summer rain water harvesting methods are being installed to recharge the ground water level. The institute has taken steps to provide better environment through reduced use of plastics, tree plantations, waste recycling, reduced carbon emission.

o The Institute is fully aware of its social responsibility and hence takes initiatives like blood donation camps, Adult computer literacy program, Shramanubhav Shibir every year for solving the problems of society.
