The Faculty Development Programme on "Mastering the Art of Writing and Publishing in ABDC and Q1 & Q2 Journals" continued on Day 4 (March 6, 2025), with insightful sessions aimed at enhancing research publication skills.
The day began with a detailed session on structuring a research paper, covering essential elements such as title, abstract, introduction, literature review, methodology, results, discussion, and referencing styles (APA, MLA, IEEE). The session also emphasized the importance of targeting high-impact journals (ABDC, Q1, Q2) and navigating the manuscript submission process.
A hands-on session on writing a research paper followed, providing participants with practical insights into drafting effective manuscripts.
The afternoon sessions covered handling reviewer comments, guiding researchers on how to effectively deal with revisions, rejections, and predatory journals. Another crucial segment focused on increasing citations, exploring strategies like open-access platforms, academic networks, social media, and collaboration for greater research visibility.
The day concluded with an interactive hands-on session on handling reviewer comments, ensuring participants gained practical experience in responding to feedback.
